The count down is on - two weeks until Plastic Free July!

Plastic Free July 2019

We remain committed to making deliberate choices to buy and consume less plastic. However, our goals for plastic free July are a little different this year because we will be spending the first few weeks in July travelling in the UK and Western Australia. Plastic free and travel don't always go together so this year we are making an effort to tread lightly on our travels by planning ahead to reduce our use of single use plastic items.

We're aiming to share our experiences - both good and the not so good along the way so that we can identify and share the challenges. Hopefully this will help us work out what we might do differently next time, and yes there will be a next time. Even though we try to minimse overseas flights and holiday locally we have a lot of close family in the UK who we want to stay connected to.

I'll also be sharing some storeys about what our family and friends in the UK are doing to recycle and reduce their reliance on plastic.
