There are so many ways to give, without giving plastic
Tonight we'd like to share some thoughts and ideas about giving. In recent years we've tried to move away from giving 'stuff' to giving or contributing to shared experiences. A meal, Moonlight Cinema tickets, a day out in the Yarra Valley or at the Peninsula Hot Springs. Sometimes we've bought gift cards, donated money to a particular cause, or bought subscriptions (such as magazines).
Our favourite gift is our annual pass for Melbourne Zoos from 'Grandma and Pa'. This gift has brought all of us so much joy and wonderful memories of exploring the zoos. Each time we visit we seem to comment on how much we love our annual pass and the people who bought it for us.

Some suggestions and ideas we'd love to gift to you:
- If you do want to give a physical gift, try a homemade one, this could include baking a cake, muffins, biscuits or something yummy.
- Donate to a charity.
- Give a book.
- While eco-friendly, non-toxic good quality toys can cost more than cheap plastic toys, kids (and our planet) are worth the extra time and investment. If you have any doubts about this read of Slow Death by Rubber Duck.
- Give life – give a plant!
- Reuse gift bags and wrapping paper or wrap in fabric. Check out the Rogue Ginger for some great ideas on how to wrap presents (plastic free of course!)
